Installing Internet Explorer 9 Beta

Goal

This article aims to demonstrate how to install Internet Explorer 9 in Windows 7 Beta quickly and easily.

 

Prerequisites for installing Internet Explorer Beta 9

During the installation prerequisites for installing Internet Explorer 9 Beta are installed automatically. However, if the process of installing prerequisites fails, the process of installing Internet Explorer 9 Beta also fails. In this situation, you must manually install the prerequisites described in the following sections.

Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008

• Windows graphics, images and library XPS ( KB971512 ) graph of Windows, Imaging, and the XPS library contains the latest advances in modern technologies of graphics for gaming applications, multimedia, imaging and printing. It includes updates to DirectX, DirectCompute library and XPS. After you install this item, you may need to restart your computer.

 

• Platform update supplement beta for Windows Vista ( KB2117917 ) This update provides fixes and enhancements to the platform graphics, Microsoft Media Foundation and print applications on Windows Vista. You should install KB971512 before installing this update. After installing this update, you may need to restart your computer.

 

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

 

• Update for Windows 7 ( KB2028551 )

This update resolves an issue in which certain elements are cut to print an XML Paper Specification (XPS) to a GDI-based printer. This problem occurs when the XPS file contains brushes that have visual processing. After you install this item, you may need to restart your computer.

 

• Update for Windows 7 ( KB2028560 ) This update provides performance improvements for the platform graphics. After you install this item, you may need to restart your computer.

• Update for Windows 7 ( KB2120976 )

This update fixes several problems streaming that are related to Media Foundation. After you install this item, you may need to restart your computer.

 

• Update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 ( KB2259539 )

This update fixes an issue where the thumbnail controls for some applications are not displayed on the taskbar. After you install this item, you may need to restart your computer.

Installing Internet Explorer 9 Beta

1 – Access the url below to download the Internet Explorer Beta 9:

2 – Select the language and version of Windows your computer is running.

3 – After finished downloading double-click. In our example we downloaded Internet Explorer in Portuguese to run on Windows 32-Bit 7. Will display the dialog box as shown in Figure 1.1.

4 – Click on Yes to continue. Will display the dialog box as shown in Figure 1.2.

5 – Click Install to begin installation. Will display the dialog box as shown in Figure 1.3.

6 – Wait until all necessary updates are downloaded and installed.

7 – After all updates are installed you must restart the computer.

8 – Double-click the installation file from the Internet Explorer 9 Beta to begin installation. Will display the dialog box as shown in Figure 1.4.

9 – Click Install to begin installation. Will display the dialog box as shown in Figure 1.5.

10 – Wait until the download of Internet Explorer 9 Beta is completed. Will display the dialog box as shown in Figure 1.6.

11 – Click Restart Now.

12 – After your computer restarts click the Internet Explorer icon on the Taskbar. Will display the dialog box as shown in Figure 1.7.
