Why would the dog whisperer give false info on the shock collar?

I was watching the show last night about the highly aggressive bulldog, and he used a shock collar on the dog to help train the dog out of its food aggressiveness. But he referred to it as sending a “vibration” and it was like he was skirting the issue of it actually sending out an electric pulse. It seemed odd to me, like he did not want to say it, as if he did not want to offend anyone or something.

Anyone who knows anything about e collars uses the word ‘stim’ not shock.

Calling people bunny huggers because they don’t agree with your method of dog training is not only rude but extremely arrogant. Dog training is not one size fits all, any decent trainer is aware of that. A competant trainer doesn’t rely on only one training tool e.g the e collar.

Anyone can call themselves a dog trainer but that doesn’t mean they’re good at it. I’ve see a so called trainer cause a soft dog to shut down using an e collar. I suppose the dog’s owner who was very upset and angry to see her dog crawling along on its belly would be called a bunny hugger.

I have nothing against e collars as long and the person using them has been properly trained by a decent trainer and knows how they should be used.
