What is the best birth control for someone about to go through BMT (Basic Military Training)?

Air Force BMT is 8 1/2 weeks. My periods tends to be 5-7 days long with heavy bleeding the first two days and the most insanely painful cramps on the first day. So what would be the best birth control to either have no period or very light periods during basic?

I would ask a doctor. They would know the best birth control for you, and then would subscribe it.
