Do airedales shed?
We are considering adopting a 6 yr old airedale and when she brushed up against me her mid section left hair all over my pants. Is this normal? They say she is a pure bred and she has a longer all over cut rather than the airedale cut. I just don’t know if she has an undercoat, needs proper grooming or maybe a combo? Thanks!
Hi I am a dog groomer in Maryland, and used to own an Airedale. They are great dogs, and are wonderful with children. They do shed a little bit and need to be brushed and combed at least 3 times a week. They should be professionally groomed every 6 to 8 weeks. During the grooming proses they will pluck and clean the ears, which is very important for this breed. The are wonderful dogs, and true friend of any family, good luck and congratulations!
