iPod Touch, or iPod Classic?

I have heard a lot of different arguments over each one, and yet I am still torn over which one to buy. I know that the ipod classic has a hard drive and the touch has flash memory. I don’t care about all the bell and whistles of the touch, or the massive storage space in the 160 gb classic. I would just like to know which one will hold up better in the long run in general. Thanks!

If you don’t need the capacity of the Classic and don’t particularly want the wi-fi capabilities, maybe the Nano would be a good choice. Capacities are 8Gb and 16GB for $149 and $179, respectively; only thirty dollars more for twice the capacity. The video recorder is a nice little bonus as is the FM with live pause feature. Built-in mic for voice memos. Its nice small size makes it convenient to wear while exercising and flash memory means it will last infinitely longer than the Classic.
