Why Do Pet Owners Keep Their Half Dead Pet Alive. Selfish?
If your animal is 20, and you have to give the cat medicine to keep it alive, and hand feed your cat spending $1,000′s of dollars. WHY!! This cat or pet is suffering. It is very selfish to keep this animal alive. If you have a dog who needs a heart operation and is 10/11/12 years old when that is the life expectancy spend $15,000.
That should be a crime, that some pet owners care more about the pet than their own family or well being. I am sorry I love my Dog, but when it too much too much?
I see what you mean, especially since the animal is suffering. But it could be a natural reaction to the death of something that is loved so much. I mean these animals become apart of your family, their like children or siblings. I imagine the owners feel like giving up on them would be like giving up on their child if it had cancer or another terminal disease. In most cases a vet would advise the best thing for the animal especially when it comes to the animal being at an age where surgery or other methods would only pro long life for less than 6 months. I love my dogs too, and I would do almost anything to save them, but I do not know if I could live with helping it suffer either.
