Why you should choose a sonic no bark collar?

Over enthusiastic barking dogs can quickly become an annoyance for both their owners and those around them. If you have a canine that seems to go into fits of barking at the drop of a hat, then you should first question the underlying reasons why they behave this way; do they have any health issues? Are they inactive for too long and frustrated out of boredom? If one of these is the case then you can deal with the situation by simply taking them to the vet or taking them out on longer walks more frequently during the week. If you believe it has to do with a natural stubbornness or their character, then you might want to consider using a no bark collar to deal with the problem.

Until recently there were just two choices of no bark collar types, the electric shock collar and the spray collar. Though a number of people find the idea of using electricity on their dogs or spraying lemon extract in their pet’s face to be out of the question. So what is a sonic no bark collar? You are probably aware that dogs are sensitive to certain high frequencies of sound, hence the invention of the dog whistle that humans can’t hear but drives dogs wild. The sonic no bark collar works on this idea, they are worn around your pet’s neck in the usual way and can be either triggered automatically by the sound of their barking or manually using a remote control unit. When your dog starts to over bark a small built in module on the collar will emit a high frequency sound that causes brief discomfort in most dog breeds. More and more owners are now starting to switch to this device because it is both the more humane method and the mot cost effective.  

Buying a sonic no bark collar

There are several different brands of sonic no bark collars available, but to give you a better idea of what to expect here are the descriptions of the two more popular items available in your local pet store or online.

The strap is made of a flexible elastic material that fits comfortably around most dogs’ necks. It also has a quick release buckle for easy putting on and taking off. The main module on this no bark collar uses smart memory technology to recognize and react to only the barks of your dog, which reduces the risk of an accidental trigger from another dog’s bark.

*Pet Safe Ultra Light Sonic Bark – This is one of the smallest and lightest sonic no bark dog collars on the market today, weighing at just 1 ounce and with a 1.9 cubic inch casing it can easily be attached to your dog’s regular collar. Like others this no bark collar uses the vibrations of your dog’s barks to trigger the sonic sound emission and remembers their own personal voice. The sound emitted by this particular device differs from others, sounding more like a fire alarm than a silent high frequency pitch, but ultimately has the right effect.
