How far should a German Shepherd Dog go for a walk a day?#
i have a 12 year old Shepherd, who enjoys his walks but i was told via people dont take them too far, but how far is too far???
would u take the dog out on 2 or 3 larger walks or loads of smaller walks?????

Mine is about 2 years old and he walks about I’d say 2 miles a day or runs on the treadmill for about 20 minutes twice a day. so I would say for a 12 year old no more then half that as you don’t want to aggrivate their hips or authoritis (Sorry Spelling) You just need to experiment with your dog and find what is right for him you dont want him sore. I would just start with a 30 minute walk two times a day and see how it does if it seems ok extend it little by little.
