my 16 month old maltese loves vegitibles! are all the vegtibles good for him?

My poochie loves vegies! he cant get enough! he doesnt even like his dog food! he likes every vegie! hes favorite is baby bell peppers. Do the vegies make him live longer?

Veggies are ok for your dog. I have a Shih Tzu who loves all veggies too. My vet told me not to worry but feed him his regular food too.

If I was doing up a veggie tray of fresh natural veggies I would share with him. I would never give him veggies from a can nor would he eat them.

Do not feed your dog other human food though…or scraps from your dinner table…too much salt and preservatives. This is very hard on their hearts the salt and all…once got a dog who was very used to table scraps. We tried to break her of this…but she would cry and whine at dinner time and people over for dinner would give her bits from their plates…ended up killing her…fluid retention salt based…she had a massive heart attack.

The veggies will certainly not hurt your dog…as far as live longer…maybe…as long as that is the only food that you eat that you feed him.

Good luck and power to our pets…I wish mine would live forever…don’t even want to imagine life without my little dog now…he is like my third son….gee guess lots think I am a crazy pet person but so much a part of my life
