What Are The Great Things About Dogs As Pets?
If you are thinking about getting a pet then you might consider a few options. Common pets such as cats, rabbits, fish, hamsters and many others are good choices. However, if you are looking for an animal that offers you just about everything you might need, then look no further than getting a dog.
So why do dogs make great pets? first of all, they make fantastic companions. They are very friendly and seem to know when you are feeling low. They are very well trained and will just lie at your feet and follow you around. They are so loyal and you are never alone when you have a dog around you. Unlike cats, who are more independent, dogs rely on you and you them for companionship and therefore they have earned the title of ‘mans best friend’.
Another reason is that they are very good at guarding and protecting you. If you go for a walk and you feel a little bit isolated, then you will always feel better with a hound at your side to scare off any possible attacker. Furthermore, they are wonderful house alarms and will bark to high heaven if there are any unwanted intruders.
Dogs are also very good with kids. Whilst there are some breeds who may bite once in a while, for the very most part they are very gentle and will happily play with children in a safe way. As they play they will develop a close bond, making them a loyal and loving companion and guardian.
Last of all, they are not generally expensive to run. Some will cost a lot to buy but once that has been done there are only a few costs to maintain them. Food is the main expense but there are some superb options for cheap but nutritious dog foods available in most pet and food shops.
However, you may to splash out a little bit of money on them if they have been a great pet by getting them some sort of treat. Get something soft for the dogs bed, or perhaps if you are so inclined, look out for some dog apparel or clothes to keep them warm in the winter months. It is important however to remember to get a muzzle, which is like a sort of full face helmet, in order to prevent them from biting if they start to do so.
Dogs certainly make great pets and are a fantastic addition to any family.

The Best Of Pete Townshend: Coolwalkingsmoothtalkingstraightsmokingfirestoking $13.98 For awhile there, ol’ Pete had a pretty nifty solo career going. Who Came First, his 1972 solo debut, sidestepped comparisons to the Who by tackling spiritual themes with low-key charm, qualities that resurfaced on Rough Mix, his wonderful 1977 duo record with Ronnie Lane. Then came Empty Glass, which was both grand and successful, like peak Who. From then on, Townshend’s been mostly grandiose and… |

Let Me Play With Your Poodle $9.23 Long, tall Marcia Ball kicks off her new album with the title track, “Let Me Play with Your Poodle,” a rollicking, double-entendre blues number originated by Tampa Red. In Ball’s version, she reinforces the salacious lyrics with a punchy horn section, her own second-line New Orleans piano solo and her own giddy vocal. And Ball doesn’t need to dip into blues history for a bawdy song; she proves she… |
