Linatone Plus & Natural Balance Food?

Has anyone used these products for their dogs?

What are your opinions on them?

I have a five month old chihuahua puppy and he has super dry itchy skin…

I’ve been thinking about changing him to Natural Balance Food but I’m not sure which (ingredients) would be best…there are like three or four different formulas

After reading the labels, I see a lot of the formulas have salmon oil or flaxseed…I’m worried that he will be getting too many fatty acids if I feed him this food plus the supplement…

Should I switch him or not, right now he is on science diet, but I’ve been hearing very bad things about it….

Honestly, i feel bad for my lil guy who seems to be itching and scratching all the time…I just wanna do whats best for him

Any advice on either product or anything different would be greatly appreciated by my puppy…

~Thanks~

The Natural Balance Ultra Premium for all life stages (I think that it is the blue bag) is a very very good food, and you probably will not need the Linatone after you start feeding it. I switched one of my dogs to it a long time ago and her coat is absolutely beautiful plus she hasn’t had any skin problems since.

Science Diet is not a good brand of food, you are really just purchasing the name when you buy it (same with Iams and Eukanuba). I would switch him asap, but switch him slowly over a weeks time or else you will upset his stomach. You cannot give too many fatty acids, but you can make them fat because of them. You may want to put him on the Linatone for a few weeks to give the Natural Balance’s superior formula to kick in. It will probably take at least 6 weeks for his skin to improve, but you may notice in just a few days.
