Does a totalitarian society need a leader/figure head?
why or why not?
A totalitarian society CAN’T exist without a leader.
A totalitarian leader will do unspeakable evil-like Hitler and the holocaust. And a society will go along with those unspeakable things because the people will shift the moral blame from themselves, to the leader.
And as long as that leader is in command, the people don’t have to take back that moral blame, so the totalitarian leader can only be replaced with an equally evil leader.
But if that leader should ever fall from power, then the people are forced to take responsibility for the unspeakable evil which they allowed to happen.
That’s why we switch Presidents every four years….or so.
