Why do CRT screens and LED displays wobble when I hum?
When I hum a low tune whilst looking at a CRT monitor or an LED display (like you see in train stations), the image wobbles. This doesn’t happen when I look at LCD displays, or when I hum a high-pitched note. I figure the low humming is vibrating my eyeballs in some fashion that creates this illusion.
I’ve heard of helicopter pilots crashing because the low vibrations of their vehicles disrupted their vision; at a certain frequency, vibrations befuddled their eyeballs. Is something similar going on here? Note that the effect is not general – I only notice this phenomenon when looking at CRT or LED displays.
Hmmmm this is a bit weird… and does not have much to do with Computers. This is more of a health problem.
Im a computer expert not a doctor sorry.
LED and LCD screens use the same sort of style though, so you should get the problem on both.
