Haqqani commander killed in Afghanistan, NATO says
KABUL — A senior commander in the al Qaeda-linked Haqqani network who was wanted over Tuesday’s attack on the Intercontinental hotel in Kabul was killed in an air strike, the NATO force in Afghanistan said Thursday.
