Do It Yourself Mole Removal
If you have moles you may have contemplated having them removed. While not all moles are unsightly, many people simply would prefer to have them removed. Mole removal can be costly. If the mole is big enough to be removed surgically it can leave scarring that may be worse than having the mole. Learning how to remove your moles at home can save you quite a bit when you consider it’s usually at least $50 bucks just to walk in the doctor’s office. Home mole removal can also save you time. No more sitting around waiting for the dermatologist to see you. And it never hurts to learn how to simple medical treatments at home.
Step by Step Mole Removal
There are any number of natural treatments out there you can use to try and get rid of your moles. Some work and some don’t. You won’t know what works for you until you try various techniques. One method that seems to work well involves the use of castor oil.
Your Supplies
For this you will need some basic supplies. You will need castor oil (available at drug stores) and baking soda. Both are inexpensive ingredients that are readily available. You will also need some band-aids, alcohol for disinfecting, a sharp needle and an emery board.
Make a Paste
Mix a small amount of equal parts castor oil and baking soda together to make a paste. Don’t make more than you need. It’s easy to mix and if you let it set out it loses its effectiveness.
Mole Removal 101
If your moles are particularly hard or tough on top you might want to soak them with hot water for at least 15 minutes. If you can’t soak it a hot cloth can soften it up. Wash the needle and soak it in alcohol to disinfect and sterilize it. Pat your mole dry. You are going to make a scratch in the center of the mole with the needle. This is so the paste can get into the root. Rub the top with an emery board to open it up even more. Spread the paste over your mole covering it completely. Place a band-aid on the spot. Change the bandage and add new paste each day but you don’t need to scratch the top again. Mole removal can save you time and money when you do it at home.
