Do I need a new LCD screen?

Okay so a few days ago, my dog ran into the table which my MSI(15.6 inch) Laptop was on and fell. When I turned it back on, the lighting was very dim, so I plugged in the external monitor, and it now works. But just recently, I checked the built in web cam and it seems to work just fine. I could see myself and everything. So what does this mean?

i had similar problem
you need to repair the lab,screen which will coast the price of new lap top
so you can use the external screen at home
and no more portable comp.
or you repair the screen or get new lap top.
