What does establish a comfort zone at a given set point mean in this sentence?

Your body can be viewed as a scale always trying to remain balanced while stress presses down one side or the other. When the body is balanced, it can rest, it is reassuring, and the balance is the comfort zone. Everything is alright when it is in the comfort zone. For example, it’s like a young child with a favorite blanket or teddy bear. Everything is okay with that item with them, but take that item away and that child feels insecure and frightened. Same with the body. If the body is in a unfamiliar situation, it will try to adjust the balance on the scales to keep balance, homeostasis. That is what the sentence is talking about.
