When I was a little girl
I day dreamed like no tomorrow
One dream kept repeating
The dream was a silvery night
I was running like I was on fire
Paw beats in the distance
Constant and catching up
The howling wind surrounded
Me like a cold blanket
Rustling in the trees
Scared me so much I tripped
Blood all over my knees
Created a sweet aroma
The smell of blood seemed
To give away my location like an arrow
The next horrifying sound was
The snuffling of a huge animal coming my way
I quickly fell out of my day dream
From the familiar sound of my sister
Yelling my name
